We turned off the satellite tv, and our internet's too slow. One really can live quite happily (more happily imo) without it. "Blow up your TV; Throw 'way your paper; Move to the country... Build you a home... "

When I lived in the city last (about 32 years ago) I didn't own a television for almost 3 years - the whole time I lived there. But I was working 6 or 7 days a week and from 10 to 12 hours a day. So when I came home, there was only time to take a hot bath and listen to some music.
I lived across the street from one of the best botanical gardens in the world so if I ever had time, I would take a walk over there. MOBOT, started by a British guy named Henry Shaw who got his inspiration from Kew Gardens in London.

I've been a member of the garden for almost 50 years.

There were 395 posts posted between 10:03 am and 11:03 am Pacific time (add three hours for Eastern time).

When I found out about this contest I followed along for a couple days and calculated that this site averaged 242.8 posts per hour. That still seems to be following. That is why I was wondering how a 3 day holiday weekend would affect posts.
