I just went outside and guess what - it's raining AGAIN,
I always thought a good infrastructure project that could really help the country would be a few pipelines from the east to the west with a few intersecting pipelines carrying the lifeline of all living things - water. Bringing flood water from the Midwest or south Texas to almond and avocado groves of California and wheat fields of the high desert.
There is an infrastructure that allows Nebraska, Colorado and California to steal our water. The legal battles are ongoing.

Steal water? That’s pretty insane. I bet it gets crazy sometimes
Water rights are a major issue in the west. In Colorado, the state claims ownership of all natural water. They have made it illegal for people to collect the water that runs off of their roofs.

Here it is common for people to collect barrels of water through their downspouts since the water quality is much better than most well water.

I grew up in SW PA and my paternal grandmother used rainwater to wash her hair.
