IMHO, the best way to learn GIMP is to start working on a project that you just HAVE to do or you will burst! That provides the
steam to work through all the fiddly-ness of computer programs. When I started learning how to use GIMP, I knew NOTHING
about these types of programs, I just wanted to work on my project. I did NOT use the tutorials (death, in my opinion!) but I just
started clicking on the tools and playing around with them. I am sure there are lots more things to learn, but, what I learned on
my own got me to where I wanted to be, so for now, I am happy with what I am doing with GIMP. I think DESIRE, curiosity and
being unafraid to make mistakes, is the best teacher in ANY subject!
