We would like to show us your best homemade invention and how you did it and if we really like it, you could be a winner![/COLOR] [COLOR=333333] Contest Details: This is a contest to see who can create the "best" waterer / feeder / incubator / brooder for BYC. Put together a page with step by step instructions explaining how you put together your invention. Include as many pics as possible. Remember a pic is worth a 1,000 words! 1. A write up of how you built your waterer / feeder / incubator / brooder along with any information you think would be helpful to other people who may want to build a similar units.
2. Any designs / plans you used to build your waterer / feeder / incubator / brooder.
3. Pictures of your waterer / feeder / brooder / incubator as it was being constructed.
4. Finished pictures of your waterer / feeder / brooder / incubator.
5. What you would change, do differently next time, or add to your completed waterer / feeder / brooder / incubator.
6. A parts list with prices (if possible)

1. Follow the format of some of the existing waterer/feeder/incubator/brooder pages.

3. Pictures - We all love lots of pictures!

Hi. I think those links to the DIY pages are very useful. I have a hard time finding them even through the BYC search feature. It would be nice if there was a DIY tab on the top. I'm building everything as I get more experience and more annoyed at the daily maintenance of chickens. but i've been using google to find DIY pages and they end up pointing the the BYC pages.

@Blooie As long as your project is in a member's page it's fine! What I meant was we won't accept entries that are just threads, i.e. if you explained your project in detail in a forum thread, you can't just link to that thread, you need to create a page and enter that, even if you copied the text over.

Hi Chris, Welcome to BYC! I'm in SA too at the moment. Have you looked at the Learning Center yet?
