What does this mean?

Basically the cold air moves across the warm lake and picks up a ton of moisture etc. so they get way more snow along the Great Lakes than further inland. At least I think so any. The snow storms there are no joke!! It’s insane

Yeah! It can be a lot of fun but not if you have to shovel it but fun for visiting and playing in LOL my mom grew up along the lakes and they always had so much snow every year. Still do usually. I think it happens with all the lakes but I’m not too sure.
