Oh it’s just what’s hanging around mostly. They get romaine or green beans or squash seeds if I have that. But my older cat demands wet food at night but doesn’t end up eating most of it, so the chickens get it.
Ok, just make sure they don't too much, the salt and a few minerals are not compatible with chickens.
And the jalapeños?
 
I supplement their feed with a number of items, it depends on what leftovers are in the refrigerator. When they were molting I tried feeding protein snacks, bits of leftover meat mainly. However, once I gave them a handful of dry cat food and discovered they love it!

I've also been digging up winter weeds like dandelions and offering the whole plant including roots. Those go over really well, so I probably won't buy them cabbage anymore.
