Official BYC Poll: What Poultry Are You Currently Raising?

Chickens and Ducks right now. When we move, I'll be adding 2 female goslings, a few turkeys (for my older brother to raise himself), and either Quail or Guinea Fowl.

I don't see myself getting any other birds besides more chickens. Spring fever and chicken math are gonna hit me in February. When TSC starts having chick days... tie me down.

Wait.... chick days? I’m almost afraid to ask what that is.

'Chick days', when the local feed stores are selling chicks. You go to buy feed, and have to pass the brooders on your way to the chicken feed, and then, more chickens for your flock!
It's hard to resist them. Be aware that they might be mislabeled, breed and sex both.

When I went to get my chicks this past summer I knew that I was taking my chances on sexing but I studied what the chicks of the breeds I wanted ought to look like to improve my chances of getting at least that part right.

We have chickens, ducks, and a budgie! On our property we also have several pheasants and quail, and I've caught them occasionally sneaking into my coop and helping themselves to my chickens' food and water.

I have chickens and a cockatiel. His name is George and he is almost 17. I have always been a huge bird fan. I had finches growing up too. Maybe some day I will get turkeys, would love the fresh meat

Chickens, turkeys and muscovys. I love the chickens and turkeys. Waterfowl are so messy, I think they need a dedicated duck house. Not just a separate barn area.

Those are the days when I go to TSC to get dog food and it takes me half an hour to get to the dog food aisle. When they don't have chick days, I'm in and out of the store in five minutes flat.
