Official BYC Poll: What type of bedding do you use for your chicken coop in the summer?

I use a mix of straw and dry leaves I vacuum-mulched from the garden paths. The same all year round.

When it gets too clogged with chook poop that falls to the floor during the nights, I just muck it out for compost and replace it with new material.

I don't have my baby chicks yet, but as I read, I'm leaning towards sand. Thanks for your input.
