lol!! I just recently discovered a nest by our back door, just behind the bushes where my hens apparently had the same idea but I didn't get the memo.

This was our oldest hen that we recently lost. She was a stubby little Bantam Barred Cochin. She was by far my daughter's favorite chicken so I'm hoping we can hatch some babies from her other favorite hens this year to keep their bloodlines going in our flock.

This is currently our only barred hen. She's a Cuckoo Marans named Veruca Salt because she was SO moody when she was young. Once she started laying eggs she became one of our sweetest hens, who would have thought? lol

This is Marble! I have had her for almost 5 years now. She doesn't love to be picked up, but she doesn't mind being pet. She lays big, beautiful light brown eggs with speckles. She is also my EE cockerel's favorite!
