I did that too!!! but it was with day old turkeys during an eight hour power outage. and yes they sat in my bra for 8 hours. It takes dedication to do that LOL and I didn't move all day and if I moved they started screaming and then they bit me

rofl.. that's just insanity.... i think i would find a sheltered place outside and start a cozy fire to put their brooder next to...

Well, I did get the idea from somewhere else on here, actually. I'd put the eggs in my sweatshirt pocket but it wasn't close enough to my body to keep them warm so I moved them up there. It was just temporary... although, they would have stayed in there longer if momma hadn't gotten back on the nest. I would have gone to the feed store to buy a cheap brooder then, though. I wouldn't want them there for a week and a half...

Yeah, she seems to only get off the nest in the early morning and goes back on not long after I've let out the chickens and given them fresh food/water for the day... so I guess I shouldn't be so overprotective. It's just that she's only 6 months old, maybe she's not old enough to have the whole momma instinct down yet. teehee, see, I'm an overprotective grandma!

yeah, that's totally normal... some people have to kick their girls of the nest to potty and eat and drink.. sounds like yours has a goodd momma head on her shoulders already... what breed is she?
