It takes 24 hours for the egg to be laid.

And another 3 days for the egg to hatch.

...And then 10 more days for the chick to grow up.

Kenny has been improving greatly lately. He used to be a right old moaner, the internet connection breaking as soon as I so much as moved him to get a better view of the screen. (It's wireless internet)

That must have been awful.

I just bought 60 chick feeds and 50 light bulbs.

Oh, believe me, it is! But I've learned to leave him in exactly the same configuration as he starts out in... saves all thetrouble!

I hardly ever buy bulbs and chick feed, it gives you one more day to earn the bird some show points! I'm trying to beat Delta at the moment.

I guess that must help a lot.

Since my new program involves lowering inbreeding, the older generations are getting released quickly anyway. I killed a lot of birds just yesterday after analyzing their pedigrees.

Good luck with your goal!

It may be tough, but that makes it all the more noble.

Yeah, some of your birds were terrifically inbred, I didn't even think it was possible!
Yes, analysing pedigrees is something I enjoy doing a lot

I like breeding birds from starters - hence Taffy and Emmett, because it presents morelow-inbred breeding opportunities.

Oh, yes, and the average.... I'm making a big effort to enter Giddermup some more. My birds are still quite young, so I believe I have a chance.
