Officially got the chicken fever!

Yesterday my DBF was driving me to work. We have 3-week old chicks and need to get their coop done so they can move outside soon. Well, on the way to work we both saw it at the same time: the plastic top to a big dog house lying on the side of the road. We looked at each other & started to laugh because we'd both had the same thought: chicken coop roof!

Someone beat us to it & we didn't get it. Oh well! Guess I officially have the chicken fever if I'm looking out for free chicken coop materials!

I know the feeling....

I had a small cat carrier to use for a brooder, then I saw an all wire rabbit cage on the side of the road "Free". Has a nice pull out tray and I took the wire bottom out. Sooooo much nicer!

I find myself looking every time I go by a house after a garage sale or on the "Bulk clean out" days now
