We are officially in lockdown. This is so exciting. I candles them and marked the largest part of the air sac and placed them with that side up. They are wiggling and chirping!! These are nine eggs I got from my flock that I lost to a predator a few weeks ago. I’m so glad I was able to get an incubator set up and carry on the next generation of the ones I lost.
Also, this is my first time so I’m really hoping it all goes well
Temp is about 97-98 and humidity is around 67. In a still air hova- bator

Hi there! This is exciting right? You’ll be addicted soon!
So, I don’t have a still air incubator, but I seem to recall that the temp in one should be 100-101 measured at the top of the egg.
I don’t think it is especially worrysome if this was the temperature during incubation, but the chicks could just end up being a tad later than expected. Just so you know and don’t panic if this would be the case.

yes very exciting!! I read somewhere that in a still air incubator, the temp should be slightly lower. Not sure why. I hope it goes well
