Oh gosh, I think it's a roo!

I was so concerned about my Rhode Island Reds being roosters that I kinda even forgot to check the other birds... I have two Black Jerseys. They were both supposed to be pullets. That's the way that they were sold to me. But I'm pretty sure that one of them is a roo. Please confirm my suspicions.... Because if it's a roo I must find him a new home. I can't have roosters here.

This black one (and the two golden laced Wyandottes) I'm pretty sure are female.

I would say pullet. I mean, I'm pretty sure that jersey giants all have big, fleshy, comb and wattles. I would just keep an eye on them.

I see in your profile pic you have ducks...did you hatch them...I have some in the incubator and I'm so confused when I candle them!

I didn't hatch the ducks. I got them from a feedstore.

I'm really hoping it's a pullet. Though at the moment i have eight chickens, but I'm only allowed to have six. So, I'll need to get rid of two once i know each ones sex.

It looks like a pullet to me as well. The last time I ordered from a hatchery, I split the cost with my neighbor. She ordered 2 black Giants along with a bunch of other breeds (we ordered from Ideal). Anyway, they grew out about the same as yours. One had a big comb and wattles and the other did not. She spent months fretting over that chicken, thinking she had a rooster. That big combed pullet was the first to lay an egg out of our entire order (even before my White Leghorns).

Maybe she is just a big combed girl. A few my chickens are about for months old now, the others are a few weeks younger. If any were cocks they would have crowed by now right? Or soon?
