Feller is building me a new bigger and better coop for my birthday and we spent most of today getting materials and building.
Whilst we were at the lumber store picking up our first load, I suddenly realised that my driver's license expires today and I had to find somewhere to renew it that was open.
No problem - there was an office 15 minutes away (even if it is IN the mall I do anything to avoid). Well, my 15 minute drive became 45 thanks to road work that wasn't marked well enough in advance to avoid. Once I finally got to the mall from Hades, I got into the line-up which was already out the door. I spent 45 minutes in that line-up. I did appreciate that after 10 minutes there were more people behind me than in front.
The floor is down and level. The walls are framed, but not up. Hopefully we can find some time in the week to work on it. Tomorrow is out because Feller is going hiking and next weekend and the following is out because he will be in San Francisco at a conference.
All in all, a much better birthday than the last.
