Hi, I'm terrible at introductions so bear with me, lol. I'm Tessa, I'm 17; my mother and I just got 25 newly hatched chickens yesterday, this is our first time dealing with animals outside our house pets (two dogs and two ferrets), so I've been look up all the information I can on them since I really don't want to be unequipped in an emergency with them. I have another thread going here. We have a little baby chick with messed up legs, who I've been keeping in my room so she doesn't get trampled by the others. It seems my family ends up always getting a bad off animal and I always nurse them back to health.

Well, that was my 'hello', hope it wasn't too bad.

Quote:Aw, thanks, me too. She's really sweet and likes sleeping in my hands. I put another chick in with her so she wasn't so lonely.

I started with some chicks that were fresh hatched too. Good luck with the guy with the hurt leg.

They are! The ones we got are all different kinds, I only figured out the one kind since it's obvious they're naked necks, lol. We have brown ones that sort of look like owls or chipmunks and most of the brown ones are really poofy, I can't stop hugging them! lol!
