There's already two hens in that nestbox (including the silkie that you are afraid of). You cannot fit in there with the two hens, so stop trying!

Roosters are s'posed to roost. That's why they call them roosters!

Imp is not afraid of that Silkie. Quite understandably, he does not know what it is, so he is just cautious.

It is a shame though when a rooster has to go into the nest and hold a hen's claw so he can get the hen through that traumatic time of laying an egg. A rooster's work is never done!!!

Since there are two hens in there to start with, they are following the time-honored tradition of two females taking care of business in a group. Why they can't go by themselves I'll never know. I realize I probably don't want to know.

p.s. Impy, I was just out feeding bread. Thor let some of your womenfolk take bread from his beak, like he does with his own women. Better watch out or you'll be hen-less.
