Hold on tight, it's going to be a speedy 24-72 hour wait for them to really get going to pop out! The pip to hatch can be anywhere between 2 hrs and 24 or more hours.

Don't open that bator!!!!

What breed are you hatching ? How many eggs you got in there ??

Sounds like you got everything ready !! Sit on your hands till all the chicks have hatched and DONT OPEN THE BATOR ( I know it's hard )

I have 7 silkie's SUPPOSED to hatch on Tuesday, but they are in the incubator raising hell. Then I have 8 more that aren't due til January 6. What about those other 8 eggs? I know I'm not supposed to jack with the incubator til these pipping eggs hatch, but will the others be okay without being turned? HELP ME!!! I feel like I'm forgeting something!!!

Thats the problem with staggered hatches, the first set needs higher hum where the other 8 dont !!

Have you up'd your hum yet ?? What did you up it to ?

Is there a way you can turn them without opening the bator, Somthing you can stick in the vent holes to roll them a little ?

If you open the bator to turn the others you are risking the others that are piping. But the others should still be turned.

Go get another bator and use it as a hatcher, then you wont have any problems ( you know you need 2 )

I've got to say that one of my favorite parts of hatching is the chirping inside of the egg. On the first hatch I thought I was imagining it.

But, on my second hatch, I could hear them peeping to each other, and I saw the shells moving. They hatched out the next day.

LOL, Now you will have tons of babies !!!! Well if you do get another bator you should have much better hatch rates, it will be so much easier and less of a risk !!
