OH MY GOOD GRACIOUS!!!!!

Get you a .17 HMR with a really good scope on it and you can pick them off at 100 yards. Academy has them for around $300 These are really straight shooting guns, use cheap rounds, and my DH can shoot dime size groupings at 100 yards. I even impressed myself when I shot it (the first rifle -- or any gun--I had shot in 25 years) and shot nickel sized groups at 50 yards. You could pick them off from a distance and they would never know what hit them.

I don't know anything about guns, my family aren't hunters, but my b/f has a collection. He's well equipped and is an avid hunter. He and a few other men are going to get together in the near future and sit in a hide and wait. We have to coordinate cause there are so many other animals from cows and horses, to large birds like Ostrich. We have to keep them close to the houses on the same nights till we get the pack thinned out.

I have a hard time killing or knowing about killing animals, but I can't have dangerous animals around. That goes for aggressive neighbor dogs (don't have any luckily) when I have children. I just try to keep thinking about the little weenie dog I saw in the vet's office and all the other little pets we'll be saving when they are taken care of.

From the looks of the Coyote I saw, they are healthy, but I think there are a lot of pup mouths to feed judging by the howling and yips I hear at night. Lots of puppies, and I think that's why they are coming out so boldly now.

DH had to take me to the dr. last Fri., so he was home in the morning. Our puppy was going off and we finally saw why. There were four coyotes strolling at the back of our field. We usually only see one at a time. He quickly got his rifle and shot under the lead one. They won't be back for a couple of months now. It was lucky that my appt. was delayed that morning as our DGD takes guitar lessons after school on Fri. and carries it to the bus, we would have been gone already (5min.) when she left that morning.

Last week she saw a bobcat running after a rabbit while she was going to the bus stop.

There is a mt. lion on the next road up the mt. Some neighbors say they have recently seen it on our road, DH thinks they are seeing our puppy(he visits a couple of the neighbors to play with his friends) he is about the same color and has a long tail.

There are bears 5mi. up the mt., luckily we have not had a problem with them here. Probably because all our neighbors live here, no weekend city-folk.

We just keep a look out and a rifle nearby!

sheesh! I'd say, at least I don't have those predators!

who pays? If there was something like that around here there wouldn't be any either! If there is, I could make a pretty large sum of money, and just in time for Christmas too!
