On my last hatch it was more like,

Fellow students,

If you think the bator is to hot...get away from the bator...find me
If you think the bator is to cold...get away from the bator..find me
if you think the humidity is wrong...get away from the bator...FIND ME.

Then one day I was finally finidhrd with my math sheet and went to check on the eggs.Eggs:sitting there like 18 dead fishes.Humidity:30%.THIRTY PERCENT!?!?How the havoc did it gey down to that?!?Temp:nintey.WOE??????????One of my classmates noticed my confusion and said."I opened it."
"What would possess you to do that?"I snapped.
'The humidity was at 75%.That's way too high, right?"
By now the whole class was looking at us.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
"You dummy! It's past day 18!That's what it's supposed to be!"
So,I feel your pain,Cherlyn.You must be:somad.

wow, sorry about that and I know you were quite upset....So...this is what I have done...for ahh ahh, dumb moments ....ah ahhh someone might have:

where my bator is...on a big index card...are my instrustions for how I bate....and in RED....have

what to do if this happens:
and I put down the instructions...which include....

DO NOT:
UNPLUG
OPEN THE BATOR IF THIS AND THAT...ETC...

just an idea for when they feel they cant reach us or wake us...or whatever.

OR JUST WANT TO "HELP US"

*sigh* No discernible movement. And, to boot, the temps have been fluctuating all over the place since the "turning off" incident early this morning. I just put in a water wiggler to figure out how much damage the eggs are actually getting.

However, I am rejoicing, a little bit, because in all the hub-bub, I completely forgot that the incubation cycle is 16-17 days, sometimes even 18. And we are only at the end of day 15. Whew. So I can still hope.
