it said on a website that its genetic is 100% chicken. it is not genetically modified. it was a broiler chicken crossed with a naked neck. this produced its featherless gene

That's just wrong...so wrong. There are lots of man made breeds that shouldn't exist. Just because man can do it doesn't mean he should.

I saw a thing on the discovery channel about how some central american farmers were intersted due to the fact that they stay much cooler without the feathers....

I agree - just because you can doesn't mean you should. IMagine how sunburned they must get, and they are a welcome invitation to parasites. Poor things.

The redness, I believe is some type of natural hormone in the chicken. If I'm remembering correctly.
