OMG! wish I knew about BYC last summer! My brother came down from Maine to CT to build my 8 X 12 coop. He did a wonderful job but did not have time to build the pen for me. Well, I think I'm pretty handy and know how to use most tools, so I thought what the heck, how hard can it be to throw up a frame and staple on chicken wire! Boy! Was I in for a rude awakening!

I had read a bunch of stuff and knew about burying wire and toeing it out but it was hard. Consequently, my pen is not pretty but it is functional!

Wish I knew all that stuff about using screws, it never occured to me and I bent so many nails it's not even funny!

good thing we don't have close neighbors, the air got pretty blue a few times!
