Oh my heck did I end up with a Guinea instead of a leghorn?

Of course being the total idiot that I am I went by what the feed store said was a "white leghorn" and bought a pure white chick that was much smaller than by half of the other chicks. Upon researching for my next purchase I noticed that my Leghorn chick was pure white as a baby and not yellow like all the pictures I saw... So I looked up other chicks etc and noticed my leghorn looked a lot like a Guinea. Sigh, I feel stupid. I thought I researched enough and now I have just made one mistake after another. SO what say you all what is my leghorn?

Well, you may not have a Leghorn, but you definitely don't have a guinea. The face and feet are wrong. Here's a picture of a white guinea for comparison.

She is about 6 weeks+ if that helps. Oooh those Guineas are scary looking!

Well that explains a lot, LOL. Now do I need to get another Guinea to keep it company or will it be happy with my chickens?

I have one that is fully developed and it has been with my chickens since it was a baby...Other than being somewhat irritable when it's feeding time, it lives with the flock and sleeps in the coop with them...The guy that gave him to my son is going to give it a mate next Spring.

Aww - I have 6 of those little boogers. Ugly and yet cute, it kinda looks like someone put the wrong head on a cute little body.

I don't think you'll be unhappy with him/her. they grow on you.
