Oh no, it's not a Brahma!

I had thought this little chap was a Brahma - but it turns out he's not. Anyone got any thoughts as to what he might be?

Yes they do.

I don't think he's a Mille fleur at all. Unless he has really poor coloring or is mixed. Mille fleurs have muffs and beards and have black and white spots on the tips of their feathers. They are also a uniform base color throughout the body. If he is Mille fleur, he is mixed.

This is my Mille fleur d'uccle I got from the feed store. He is only hatchery quality, but you can see the difference in coloring and facial shape.

He's so laid back its a wonder he doesn't fall off his perch! I guess I need some better pics to get to the bottom of this. Not that it matters too much, I love him all the same. Maybe I'm getting sentimental in my old age.

He isn't mixed - he just isn't as vibrantly coloured as yours.
