Oh no!!! No poooo!

hello all!

I need help! As of two days ago my chicken hasn't laid eggs or gone poop! This is odd since she lays eggs almost everyday! She stopped eating her lettuce which is her favorite, and only eats small amounts of her normal chicken scratch and veggie mix. I checked and it doesn't seem there is an egg stuck so I dont know what the problem is. She seems normal only less active and less vocal. Help! I dont want her to constipate herself to death! What should I do?

chickens take a break every so often- but not eating is odd, do you have a chicken vet?

A little more information may be helpful in determining what is wrong.
What breed and how old is your hen? How long have you had her? How long has she been laying? Is she molting? Could she be broody?
What is her normal food? Is it veggies, lettuce & scratch? Does she get oyster shell or another type of calcium supplement? Could she have mites or lice? Has she been wormed recently? Is her comb pale or darker red/purple than usual?

Scratch and vegetables isn't a completely nutritious diet for a laying hen. She needs added protein and calcium that she would get from a layer feed + oyster shell. If she is molting or broody she may not eat as much as usual as these are pretty stressful for a hen. If she is young and only started laying recently, then she may not be regular yet.
If she has parasites (internal or external), this is also stressful and will reduce laying and appetite.
A pale comb can indicate anemia, dark or purple can be heart/circulation problems.
