so i left for a 5 hour college class yesterday came home and was assured my incubator was fine...because i pretty much passed out after the class came inside a few minutes ago looked at my bator and the 6 year old nephew had apparently covered the ventilation holes -.- it is a mini fridge incubator and apparently my sister in law let him do it becase she thought it was helping raise humidity -.-...

it has been like this since i left the other day whats the chances they are alive?? there are 13 eggs...i have opened the vent holes..anyone have any ideas if they are dead or alive....

humidity is now 70 and 2 have hatched just fine thankfully 1 hatched late last night and is now in my brooder

so thankfully the eggs did not smother as i feared

CUTE!! And I hope your SIL and nephew learned a valuable lesson on not touching other people's property. Hmmph.

I'm also worried because this is my first hatch, and for some reason my bator temp shot up to 104 very briefly this morning. I've been hovering over it since I started so it was only like that for a few minutes at most, but color me paranoid.
