OH NO!!! Temp changed on me. UPDATE.... They are hatching

Number three just broke out of the shell. Last egg has pipped. I have one that has had his beak out for most of the morning but hasn't made much progress. I am thrilled with this hatch. I had set 12 eggs and at day 14 I candled them and had three non fertile ones. All were clear with no signs of development. 9 were left and all pipped. Does this mean a 100% hatch rate as we see it? I know if they all break out of the shell.

I feel so much better about the Dominiques I set last week. I would really like to get a good flock of those, just because.

Brooksville is a great place, close enough to everything and yet out of town enough.

Pics?? I'll have to work on that. I'm not sure how to do it yet but I'll play with it when I get time.

It is Over.......

All nine hatched. I'm so thrilled Last night I thought two weren't going to make it. Then this morning number eight was here.

Number nine (Breaker) had his beak out since Saturday night. I gave him time and last night I broke some of the shell away hoping he would finish. This morning he was still stuck. I decided it had gone on long enough. I statrted to zip the membrane and got the top of the shell off him. He tried and tried to get out,but was stuck. I got a paper towel wet and warm and layed it on top of him. He took about 30 mins. and was almost out,but still stuck. I helped him the rest of the way and he seems to be doing fine.

I am using a bator that I built. I will get some pics tonight and see if I can post them. Its a monster. I always over build things, but it worked.

Congrats!!! 100% that's amazing! Obviously you did a wonderful job making the incubator and taking care of the munchkins!
