Oh no!

The Ideal shipment I had wasn't ordered. I was on a waiting list for Barnevelders and they called in March and said they had them available so I said OK. I didn't realize they shipped priority. I just assumed they all shipped overnight. If I order hatchery again I'm going to make sure I check and see if I can pick the ship date.

I have chicks coming from McMurray and am freaking out. I didn't know it was a holiday today, so who knows what shape they will be in by tomorrow

I hadn't thought to check, I figured they would take the holiday into account when planning their hatches but I just don't know.

ugh out of the 50 that they sent, i had SIX survivors. but no fear...shipping again on monday.

I'm done shipping in the cold. i asked if we could push it back a few weeks and she said no.

Glad I didn't place an order with Ideal. But when I did go online most of the heavy breaders are sold out until May 2010.

And I wouldn't want them to ship in this nasty cold weather in WV. I think I will use a hatchery that is closer or find someone who has chicks that I could pick up. I don't mind a road trip and picking up baby peeps would be awesome.

If anyone knows of someone in the WV, OH, KY area that hatches could you let me know

Thanks
Tracy

Unacceptable response from them. What reason did she give? Maybe I'm missing some details here but based on only knowing this much, I think my response would have been that if you ship when babies are likely going to suffer and die instead of waiting for a more opportune time, as I have requested, I think I shall be scheduling a press conference.
