Sounds like you have a good start! - I sometimes buy Mother Earth, but I find it frustrating that I don't have the "skill set" to do some of those things and DBF has his hands full - we need a couple of 'tween age' boys to help us out

I made the mistake of homesteading after the boys had all grown up. And they are very expensive eat more food than 4 adults, use the truck and never put gas back in....but worth every dime. Good luck with your farm. I get a lot of satisfaction dreaming and building my homestead the DW is great and a gardner supreme, I take care of the livestock and building she keeps the veggies and preserves the bounty.
