oh what a day

or should I say two. We did the Relay for Life yesterday. My DD and soon to be DDIL and I walked on a team from our Cowboy Church. Some of you know I am a 2 time survivor and lost both my Dad and Mother to cancer. We got to the Relay at 5 pm yesterday for the Survivor Dinner. The relay started at 7pm and lasted until this morning at 7 am. We made it the whole 12 hours of the relay!!! We had a BLAST if you ever get the chance to do a Relay for Life PLEASE do it you will come away with so much more than you give. Our county raised $106,354,

: are a very small rural county. To say the least we are proud to have been here to be able to do The Relay and to have it turn out so successful. Again if you can please join a team and walk for a cure. We will be there next year The Good Lord willing. Now I think it is time for my Friday to end.

Great job! Lasting the whole 12 hours deserves a hearty pat on the back!!! Congratulations to all three of you!

My sister has been cancer free for 9 months now. She was diagnosed with it in the very last stages. It went undetected for 9 months because she was pregnant. After she delivered her son (7th child at that) all the last stage symptoms just popped up. If the cancer had gone two weeks longer without being detected, she would not be here today. We thank the Lord every day for her being here with us!

Congrats on your surviving twice and your great relay!

Things like this...Cancer just stuns you, when you think about all the lives....And when somebody finds a cure, there will be millions of people in heaven cheering them on.
I was setting the table today, and i was thinking how it was always four of everything, four plates, knives, forks, glasses, etc. And i though about what it would be like to have to count three of anything....It just makes me feel so blessed.

What a wonderful thing to do. I would love to be a part of the relay for life someday. I think I'll look into the next one in our area. You and your girls should be very proud!!!!
