It's very addictive, next Saturday, my hatch date, couldn't come soon enough.I just bought the Hova Bator and so far so good. I had 7 hatch last night and 2 more today with more peepping so I am hopeing to get at least 15!! I love it
I Have a feeling that this could be addictive!!
I used a quail water tray for the first week of my latest hatch. With the smaller opening, the chicks were able to stay out of the water and keep the tray clean. As the chicks grew, the quail tray became too small.
I have the chick tray in now. The chicks started scratching wood shavings into the water or knocking the watered over. My solution to this was using a 8 ounce stainless steel dog bowl to raise the water tray. It also cudles the bottom of the tray making knock over much more difficult. Chicks seem to be doing well with this setup.
