You can buy a 100 thermometers and get different results from all of them. YOu need to focus on a calibrated thermometer. A digitial pharmacy thermometer is calibrated. If placed in the proper place away from the heating elements in a forced draft incubator, you will be able to accuratly measure the temp.

If you do hatch eggs, if they hatch early, then your temp is high, late then your temp is low. No hatch, you are way off!

Yea I have now got an extra thermometer in incubator and the one that is attached so I have been double checking. So far temp is good at right around 99.6
I have 1 dozen black copper Marans and 2 dozen EEx
Can't wait 17 days and counting till hatch day
