Do you remove this? We don't for home use, but we are selling now and so I'm having second thoughts.

I know some producers do, some don't. Do you?

Thanks.

Yes, it's very simple to make a small cut from side to side, just in front and just behind. Makes kind of a triangular divot out of the base of the tail just where it attaches to the back.

For myself, I don't care about the presentation aspect and I don't eat the tail (my sister did when we were kids). Anyway, I just remove the whole tail. I make the cut on each side of the tail and where it attaches to the back. Then when I pull out the insides, the whole thing comes out without having to cut around the vent.

It works for me.
