You have no idea how happy I am that she's a pullet. She's my snuggliest one of all. I love her so much.

And just out of curiosity, on a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid is her name? I was trying to think of nice ones but that just came to my mind and stuck. Do I sound like Paris Hilton with one of her purse dogs?

I think it’s a lovely name for a silkie... they are living, breathing, walking balls of poof!

Thank you. I read one thread where someone had a lone silkie chick living inside so they gave it one of those floofy keychains for a companion and called the keychain "MomPom". I've been trying to restrain myself from using that. I thought it was so cute/funny.

Well, now it's mostly because out of my 10 silkies Princess Poof is the only pullet. I could name one "DadPom" I guess, but it doesn't really have the same ring to it.

Just an update for anyone who is curious about how all this turned out.

I guess you can't ever trust comb/wattles 100%, because Miss Gusty is all hen. I guess I won't be eating my hat after all
