i bought around 35 hatchry choice straight run chicks i planed on caponizing the roosters at 4 weeks right now there around 2 1/2 to 3 weeks old and im not sure what ones are roosters.lol this is not going to end well if i dont figure this out dont want to caponize my hens going to do black or red sex-linked next time. any tips on figuring out there sex.

Okay, I don't know if you can do this at 2 1/2 weeks old, but their feathers on their back, if they are pointy they are male, if curved its a female, pictures please? (Of combs, legs, whole body)

Rob.

i can take some pics tomorrow before work maybe but like i said i got 35 of them and the hatchery choice lol

It's amazing the difference in just 2 weeks! (from 2 to 4 weeks old)

My 4 weeks old are really obvious. Good luck!

i just took a few pic but i got to many to take pics of everyone so i took pics of the biger ones did notice some look like there forming combs.

Im sorry -I dont how anyone can make the assumptions on sex of those chicks so early on. Unless they are sex-linked 2 weeks is too young to say for sure! Alos, the photos are way to blurry to decide. Sorry OP it is way to early to tell- you could wind up trying your luck on all pullets and no roos!
