They just went in the bator!!! I think I have everything correct. Temp is 99.1 and humidity is about 23% does that sound right??? Also..after reading the stick incubation post I am still usnsure of the total number of days it takes for the eggs to hatch and which day they should pip. I am gonna go read again, but not sure if I will figure it out. Also, do you raise the humidity at the end like chickens??? JEN

Hatch time depends on the breed. You don't raise humidity until they internally pip.

these are sebastopol/toulouse cross eggs....they were accident eggs from someone near me, but I thought it would be fun to try and hatch them. The lady was told that the tolouse boys would not be fertile untill they were 2 but she started to hatch the eggs to find that they were not full sebastopol so I got some of them to try.

OH BOY tomorrow I am going to try to candle my eggs for the first time! I set them at 9 am on Tuesday so I figure I should be able to see something by tomrrow night. I am hopeing to have 6 little baby "dots" floating around in my eggs!!!! Wish me luck!

Some else is got mixed breed goose eggs in the bator too. I just set mine. Hopefully we'll both have little fuzzies soon.

Cool!!! We can be hatch buddies!!!!!!! I am thinking that tonight may be a bit earily to candle since I set them Tuesday morning. I may wait till tomorrow night so I can be sure...But knowing me I wont be able to wait and I will candle tonight and tomorrow if I dont see anything. I just hope to see SOMETHING. I'm gonna put fresh batteries in the light and give it a go tonight I think once it gets dark out. I will post hat I can or cannot see here tomorrow!

well I tried to candle to see if I could see ANYTHING and I didnt get much of a result. I THINK I saw development in 2 of them but still unsure. I am to earily, but I just couldnt wait. I guess I will try again in a few days.

OHHHH I just went back and looked at the sticky post and the picture of an egg on day 4 looked EXACTLY like what I saw in at least 5 of the six eggs!!!!!! They definately did not look like the clear one. They yolk had definately darkened like the one in the pic. Now I have great hope for these eggs! YIPPEE
