Ok.. I have 6 beautiful Peachicks and got scales to weigh them with ... So what am I doing? What am I watching for?
2 of my Peachicks are from my own stock and both are IB one being a month old and weighed 44 ounces and the younger at 21 days weighed 26 ounces.... Are they in normal range and where do I find something to reference??
Tried posting pics but having problems doing that...

I think your scale is showing pounds, not ounces. So 0.44 pounds is about 7 ounces, 0.26 pounds is 4 ounces. Most folks here use grams, so the first would be about 200 grams and the second 118 grams, if you want to compare to what others have posted.

Thanks... So I'm just watching that there's weigh gain then??
Yes... a healthy chick will make daily gains. If they don't, pretty good chance something is wrong. Also watch for not enough gain, that is also a sign that they are getting sick.

My chicks are almost 3 weeks old. It is roughly 80 degrees in the house. Maybe a little less. I turned the light off today because they were mostly hanging out around the house with me. I forgot to put it back on but when I checked on them before going to bed they were peacefully sleeping. And if you know anything about imprinted little peas, you do NOT disturb them if they are not crying. Does this mean they are ok to go without the heat light now?
