“Purple split to white”

Hen moms:

You are asking what colors you have and give us one color, Purple, and five different patterns. So all of your birds must be Purple but they are obviously not, some are IB.
Im sorry but in all my years on this forum It has been assumed if a person does not give an actual color on peafowl before the pattern it is assumed IB is the color. I only have one purple cock. My others are 2. white, and 3. IB pied. I will change the description to include IB.

And that is very true but this is a learning forum and we have many people that do not realize that White is a pattern. White covers the color so we do not know what is under it and splits are an unknown color and or pattern that does not always exhibit itself. Your parents may have split colors or even Spaulding that contribute to the second chick being very dark.

That being said the first chick appears to be a nice Purple Pied hen chick. The second looks like a Pied of unknown color as it is very dark, darker than a normal IB. Third is a Silver Pied, most likely an IB. Fourth is an IB split White. The last two are White, color unknown.
