Ok Has barred Rock mom but unknown dad...what am I?

ummmm the pink toes you see are painted when we wormed to mark the already wormed chickens.....uh fingernail polish quick dry works in a pinch lol lol

Well, it has white legs, so either it's not a BR mix after all or it's possibly a Cuckoo Marans or it's crossed with a white legged breed (BRs have yellow legs) and the white skin took over in the chick. What are the choices for sire? What type of comb does this bird have?

If the mom is the BR or Cuckoo Marans and the dad is not barred, that is a cockerel. Cockerels pick up the barring from the mother. Could it be a pure Cuckoo Marans? Wish I could see a full body pic closer up.

ok we know mom for sure is a barred rock but dad we do not know other than he cannot be a cuckoo marans...but one of our barred rocks has pale legs not white but a creamy beige color....but she cannot be cuckoo because her eggs are normal tan color of barred rock like a normal light brown egg. The guy we got them from did not have a marans roo........there is no telling we know he had the following roos :

hatchery birds often have the wrong colour of legs

I'm told that sometimes hatchery BRs have the wrong color legs, but I've never had any that had other than nice yellow legs myself. To me, other than leg color, that bird looks like a pure Barred Rock pullet.

My hatchery BRs didn't have yellow legs. They were polka dot like those in the pic.

I have one now that DOES have yellow legs and she is much prettier than the ones I got from the hatchery.

Weel so that does it I guess we are going to say she is a barred rock without the normal yellow legs. Thanks everyone for your comments we appreciate it!!!!
