LOL Ok.. my leghorns!

Here is video of me putting Vaseline on my leghorn's combs. I don't bother now.. only the roosters are getting it now. The leghorn's combs seem fine in this cold.

watch my Cochin Midnight.. she is such a baby!!

That speckled one was cute too!

I wonder if you could put KY warming gel on them?

I'm sensing a way to make millions in a WD40 sprayer that applies KY warming liquid...

That speckled one is Emma. She is so curious about everything.

I was scraping poop off the roosts yesterday, and she was climbing in my way. They have really gotten used to me this winter. To walk in the coop is like trying not to step on glass... they just won't move out of my way. I am sure that they assume that I always have treats and want to be the FIRST to get some.

Too funny. I put Vaseline on my salmon favorelle rooster's comb after he went to roost at night, otherwise I'd never have caught him. Unfortunately, the hens all decided they needed to sample it and I was afraid they were doing more harm than the frostbite. He hasn't had another application at this point and his comb is doing okay. I think if its going to get cold enough for another application I'll have to put it on in the morning just before letting them out of the coop so the hens leave his comb alone
