OK - Hubby will not think this is very funny - LOL

I have had them crow at that age, but not a good crow...more like a squeaky wheel.

As far as your Hubby, when he notices, just say "Didn't I tell you? I'm sorry, thought I did. " and leave it at that.
If you don't go into a long story, he might not react too badly.

He can't be too bad about the chickens, since you can keep them inside the house.
I can have any breed and quantity I want, but NOT in the house!

I like the tactic of saying, "I know I told you about this. It was back before ___ happened." And I name some major event or happening that could've cause DH to forget other things. It works a LOT of the time. Especially if I can link it to other things he really did forget around the same period of time...

He thinks they are Silkies because he has never acually walked over to the brooder and looked in it. When they hatched he just assumed they were silkies and I let him..

:) So far no crowing today..

I may be safe :)
