Ok, I sent for some Moderns...

Oh, yes, I am sure they are rather useless. They don't lay many eggs, and the ones they lay are tiny, but heck, they are just so cute!

So as I say, I sent for 15 of them. I wonder what they look like as chicks, does anyone have any chick pics?

I have to say, for how tiny they are I thought they laid a rather large egg. This observation is based on the eggs I saw in the coops at the Spring show in Stevenson, WA last year. It seemed like quite a few of the Modern hens had laid an egg, and they were quite disproportionate to their tiny bodies.

And re the long legs--they will fit right in with my Italian Greyhounds! Not together, of course, they wouldn't last a second. For tiny little dogs, they are HIGHLY aggressive.

But the look is the same. Skinny little things with long legs.

Now I need to get a Devon Rex kitty! (Same look.)

At least in my life, it is amazing how I can keep thinking up reasons that I need more animals.
