was laying like crazy even in the coldest weather but all of the sudden she hasnt been laying at all and more noisy than usuall any thoughts? is she getting ready to go broody????

Sounds like shes broody, Congrats i recently had 4 hens go broody on me in subzero temps lol.... silly chickens

If she's broody, she'd be sitting on the nest all day. Could she be moulting?

From what you wrote she doesnt sound broody to me... Is she sitting on a nest or eggs ?

she just sits onthe nest with no eggs and gets up every now and then. i just thought it was odd that she was just sitting on the nest with no eggs, and gets up every now and then.
