I am a chicken newbie and this one came out of TSC's straight run bin... please tell me what she is.....

she is 6 weeks old

ok,, now let me really show my ineptness here... A sex link says what the gender should be... RIght??? so what is her breed???

A sex link is a hybrid, she is a cross of 2 different breeds. Probably a RIR or NH rooster over a white hen.

they are a hybrid breed i believe Delaware /RIR cross.sex links are -color sexed- darker chicks like yours =pullets. light solid yellow chick=roo

Yes, but she should be sweet and a great layer of Xlarge eggs I have a bunch here and I think 1 is trying to go broody on me

TS calls them Golden Comets. Females are hatched orange/red and males are hatched yellow.

You're girl is cute! Mine looks very, very similar.
