Ok...Now its REALLY finished.

With the addition of the coop sign, mulch and mums, as well as making the guillotine door operational, I can say that the coop is really finished.

The Leghorn on the ramp is the last one to turn in for the night. I am glad that I do not have to come out after dark, scoop them out of the sand, and put them in the coop.

Very nice! Mine is finished, too, as of yesterday. Except for my decoration on the coop, I wanted to paint Biddy Barn on it and it has rained the last couple of days. I think I will get to it this weekend sometime, if the rain holds off.

What a lovely coop! Wonderful job.

You'll want to keep an eye on the temperature inside the coop during the summer sun with the clear roof to make sure it's not getting too hot in there. You have plenty of ventilation, but still it's good to be aware of the potential for overheating. In the winter, you might try adding some kind of insulation on the roof of the coop part. I have a similar roof on my winter coop and found that daytime heat went right out through the roof as soon as the sun went down.
