I have a feeling this is a roo with the butt feathers. Dont mind the chicken poo on my leg lolol I think this one is 5 weeks old

Looks female to me. Post a picture at 7 weeks to be sure, but the comb is small and yellow. If it were a roo, I'd expect a larger pinker comb at 5 weeks. But some develop slower, so post pics to check again in a couple weeks.

Agreed, so far looking like a pullet. Tail feathers don't mean a whole lot at this age.

Thank you everyone! I am impatient! I have 12 chicks between 1 month and 1 week and I want to weed out the roos to see how many chicks I am actually going to have lol!

Same boat here, 17 RIR to sort through at 4 weeks old as of yesterday . . . .the wait is killing me, lol
