For showing pictures and that types of contests, you don't need permission. Doing things like charity stuff, large swaps where monies/goods get involved, it is often best to ask first.

I haven't been able to go back far enough, but have you ever had a "Most Surprised Chicken" contest?

I know mine are pretty funny when they're surprised, and I could only imagine what a Cochin would look like! A banty? Too funny!

Someone should make a thread for contest ideas. Especially for those that have ideas but just don't want to set the contest up or don't have the time. Maybe someone else would be willing to start the contest up.
