ok so im on day 19

I'm on day 19 as well. I have seen rocking from three eggs of the 19 I have so I'm hoping I will see a pip soon.

Is it ok to candle them after day 18? I really want to see if they are moving at all.

I hope experts chime in here, but what I've read is DONT TOUCH THE BATOR except to add water if you must - leave the eggs alone! Thats what I've gathered.

Any updates? Nothing happened with my eggs last night. Maybe today. I can't figure out this webcam, my husband is going to help me with it tonight so hopefully we can get it up and running before they hatch.

Candling in itself won't hurt the eggs. But still air incubators are very slow to regain humidity when they are opened, just at they time the humidity needs to be high.

With forced air this is much less of an issue. Mine, for example, will get back up to 70% in just a few minutes.

Day 19 for Penny and me, too. She's either going to hatch 1 to 3 eggs or not! She won't get off the eggs today so I can't tell if anything is happening. I honestly didn't think anything would happen before day 21! My excitement level just skyrocketed!

At least you guys understand! My husband thought I was nuts when I jumped out of bed early this morning - uhhh, to check the humidity! Now, I ask you, whats so wrong about that? So what if it was only 4 am, and I usually get up at 5:30 am? I actually thought I heard something beeping, but then again, I hear beeps all the time - with Cockatiels, parakeets and a Parrotlet in the same room - I cant tell who is beeping?

Im glad to hear forced air eggs can be candled more often, if needed? I have a Genesis 1588 that gets temp and humidity back up pretty quickly, I may try a quick candle if I have to take any peeps out soon!!

I stared and stared at the bator this morning, but didnt see any changes - I think it's too soon though?
