Ok, these are not Buff Orpingtons! What did I get?

Most likely production reds or hatchery New Hampshire reds. My neighbor has a girl just like that
 
They could also be Red Sex Links. They should be prolific layers and will give you some nice extra large brown eggs.
 
They lay wonderful eggs, often. They are healthy birds......but not what I wanted. Disappointing. I wanted Orpingtons looking for a friendly breed that may go broody. Whats funny is I bought 4 chicks from a breeder and not one of them looks like the other!!! And none are the Orpingtons I ordered.
 
The pictures are a bit blurry, but they look like Production Reds (I don't see the white feathers in them that are indicative of Red Sex Link hens--maybe at my age I am getting blind tho'). :o) Either way, they will outlay the Buff Orpingtons, although the Orpingtons generally have the somewhat sweeter and gentler personality.
