I have two ducks and two chickens hatched and holes in some of the other shells. I read somewhere on here I should leave the hatched ones in the bator for awhile. However, they're crawling all over the other eggs and pushing them around. Is this OK? It's only been a few hours...should I leave them in or take them out and put them in the brooder?

Thank you.

That's really up to you. Some folks leave chicks in there for 2-3 days. I remove mine after they are dried and active, at least 12 hours after hatching. If you choose to remove them, make sure you have your brooder ready to go and up to temperature where it should be before moving the babies. If you choose to do it, do it quickly and infrequently.
